Included with all our albums are our design services. You can send us unlimited photos which we sort, cull, and edit. We layout your album proof and you can request unlimited revisions as well as add captions and titles. Once you're thrilled, we print, bind, and ship your beautiful, hardcover book.
We have two Album types. Both albums are printed on archival paper with sewn and glued binding for lasting endurance.
THE PREMIUM ALBUM is 12"x10" and comes with a sand color linen cover. It’s up to 180 pages. The Premium Album is $450 and reprints are $250. This option is also available without a photo on the cover.
THE SIGNATURE ALBUM is 9.7"x7.7" and comes with a charcoal linen cover and is up to 120 pages. The Signature Album is $295 and reprints are $150.
Signature Albums can be up to 120 pages. The length of your album will depend on how many photos you send us and how your story is best told (our page minimum is 40 pages). Our page layouts vary from printing one photo on a page to showing a collage of photos on a page. A typical album includes 300 photos.
Premium Albums can be up to 180 pages and generally contain about 500 photos. Some albums have more if the Client prefers more collages, some fewer if the Client prefers more pages with a single photo on them.
Our Album Makers will start working on your custom photo album as soon as you check out. You will receive your first album proof within three weeks. Additional proofs are provided within a week of your request for changes. After you approve your book, it should take one week to arrive to your home.
If you are trying to meet a specific timing deadline, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will try to accommodate it.
Our covers are wrapped in charcoal linen (Signature Album) or sand linen (Premium Album.) We print the albums on FSC-certified 140GSM Silk Coated paper using the top of the line HP Indigo printing press, which uses 4 color liquid ink technology that is similar to offset printing. The paper has the look and feel of a fancy coffee-table book.
Our binding is Smyth Sewn for lasting endurance. Joseph Smyth patented a new type of binding in 1905 which combines gluing with sewing to provide books with a lasting endurance which hadn't been experienced previously. This process takes a little longer but is ultimately worth it.
Our albums have photo journalistic style where distractions are kept to a minimum and your pictures are given center stage. Our layouts incorporate full bleed pages, bordered pages, and collages and captions. We'll use a variety of these to tell your unique story. You may request specifics or let us handle the layout.
Captions and titles can be added during the proofing process. Writing can be applied to the photos themselves or can be put in the margins. Some Clients like to submit a full page of text that's important to the story. We've included the text from a toast from a wedding, a favorite quote, etc. Let's us know what you're looking for and we can make it happen!
